Dr. Hanna is an inspiring person and I am glad that he was the one who performed my jaw surgery this past November. Dr. Hanna did an amazing job with my jaw surgery over this past year. He is a perfectionist about the functional and aesthetic aspects of maxillofacial surgery and used the most cutting-edge, minimally-invasive techniques that allow for a very rapid and straightforward recovery. I had pretty compromised roots in some of my teeth before the jaw surgery, so Dr. Hanna’s world-class skill really showed itself with how he navigated my complex case and preserved my teeth perfectly. Dr. Hanna is a world-class surgeon. But unlike many who share the title of “surgeon”, Dr. Hanna is foremost a human being who displays empathy throughout the course of treatment.

It’s hard to put into words what working with Dr. Hanna has done for my life. In many ways, he restored my faith in surgeons after previous experiences where I left feeling uncared for. His approach to my challenging and unique case was truly special. He is the definition of approachable and caring. He doesn’t mind explaining complex medical concepts to you (or your entire family) as many times as needed. He is always just a text or phone call away during the healing process and I never felt like a burden when I had concerns.

Nobody can prepare themselves for the day that you’re told that your 13-year-old daughter has a destructive tumor that has destroyed a large part of her jaw. From that moment forward, your life shifts… Thankfully, however, we were finally connected to Dr. Hanna. His knowledge, precision, and willingness to look at all possible treatment scenarios was second to none. He explained things to her and to us in a way that made us feel like partners with a voice. It was clear that we were in this together… not just through surgery, but for anything we needed. Even if it was just simple reassurance. Dr. Hanna informed us of all options and even took her case to the tumor board in order to provide her the best possible surgery, and treatment – while keeping in mind she was a growing teenager. I met Dr. Hanna through one of my children’s orthodontists who recommended him because my kid needed wisdom teeth removed and also rather complicated jaw surgery. He is not only a brilliant doctor but also a tremendous human being and someone I consider to be a friend. It’s rare to find someone who is this exacting and this compassionate, and this careful to explain everything that needs to be explained in the most meticulous detail, and all of this happened at the height of the pandemic. I can’t imagine finding a more qualified doctor even if I had to search the world. I’ve now gone to Dr. Hanna myself for facial rejuvenation and he is every bit as meticulous and caring with nonsurgical cosmetic enhancements as he was with major surgery. His standard is platinum level, and he goes above and beyond.

I had corrective double jaw surgery back in February of 2018 to fix my underbite with Dr. Hanna. He was so professional throughout the whole process from consultation to post-op care. He is one of the best doctors in his field and it shows in his outstanding work. I’m so pleased with my results and recovery. It was a huge procedure and I’m glad I chose him to be my surgeon.

Aging Gracefully. However, at 72, I felt my sagging eyelids and inherited fatty eyelid pockets were interfering with my peripheral vision. I always looked tired. I needed a surgeon who understood what I wanted; nothing drastic that didn’t relate to the rest of my naturally aging face. I read about Dr. Hanna’s training, credentials, and experience in Aesthetic Surgery. We met for a consultation and with his warm smile, he listened and understood what I wanted. The Doctor Hanna is an incredible artist. I had been getting my lip augmented by a plastic surgeon in NYC and had an unfortunate experience of having to dissolve the filler with hyaluronidase, which left my lips scarred. Dr. Hanna was able to revive my lips into a natural shape and size. He is very thoughtful in his markings, choice of filler, and injecting procedure. I did not know a lip augmentation could look this beautiful and natural. This elegant enhancement fits perfectly with my medical profession. People catch me staring at myself in the mirror all the time now and I love it.

Dr. Hanna is the absolute GOAT! I saw a local plastic surgeon who did a chin implant with some submental liposuction for me previously. I didn’t hate the outcome, but I was expecting it to be slightly better. Dr. Hanna’s skillset with jaw surgery is unparalleled. Without ever being condescending, he explained to me the difference between a chin implant and a sliding geniotomy and the pros/cons of them. He is more than a surgeon, but also an aesthetic artist. We decided to remove my chin implant and do the sliding geniotomy, do some more submental lipo in addition to buccal fat removal, and add jaw implants. It was like he knew in my head this was the look that I was initially going for that the other surgeon couldn’t get to. I am still early in the healing process but I am THRILLED with the result. I had some very minor post-operative complications that have since resolved but Dr. Hanna was so attentive and diligent with checking in on me and making sure everything healed.

I lost my upper jaw and I was told it could never be fixed. Dr. Hanna reconstructed it. He is an amazing surgeon.

Dr. Todd Hanna is in a league of his own. Personally, he exudes a kind, respectful, positive, and calming presence, and cares deeply for his patients. Professionally, his work is meticulous, detail-oriented, natural, understated, and he is at the absolute top of his field. He is an excellent surgeon, and the only one in NY who creates an actual custom chin implant. Other doctors falsely claim that trimming a silicone implant to rest on the chin is “custom,” whereas Dr. Hanna digitally creates and manufactures a titanium implant that is truly customized for each individual patient that will NEVER migrate and end up in a patient’s cheek! He deserves a million stars! Do yourself a favor and if you are looking for an oral or maxillofacial surgeon, or a head and neck reconstructive surgeon…look no further than Dr. Hanna! I guarantee you that you will be impressed beyond belief with your entire experience from your initial consultation to your final results post-surgery.

We had the most amazing experience with Dr. Hanna and his staff. He performed chin genioplasty on my daughter and we couldn’t have asked for a better doctor. I had always wanted to get lip injections but was worried I would be left with an unpleasant result. I have never written a review for a doctor before but had to share given the amazingly unexpected care I received from Dr. Hanna. I had a major surgery (first surgery ever) and had many ups and down stressing about the outcome and the challenges during recovery. Dr. H responded to every concern extremely quickly to help reassure me when I was extremely stressed and never rushed a single appointment. As someone who also wants to understand the mechanisms at play, I also really appreciate that he always took the time to explain concepts in relevant medical terms rather than just dumbing things down. Dr. Hanna came to the hospital to perform surgery after a fall on a Sunday (the day of last year’s Super Bowl).
